“I am a little bit shy and I never used to like taking on leadership positions… but when I got involved in Geração Campeão (Abraço Campeão’s Youth Council), I started to have to show the younger kids what’s right and what’s wrong. If someone acts out, I call them over and say, ‘Hey, that’s not right. Let’s do this differently.’ The kids are a big responsibility. Even when I’m not here, I try to check in with people [from Geração Campeão] that are here, to get feedback from them and ask how things are. Now I really enjoy the responsibility.”
