WHO ARE WE?
Abraço Campeão is an NGO based in Complexo do Alemão, a huge favela in Rio de Janeiro. It is one of the communities most affected by armed conflict and by a lack of basic services and opportunities. Our founder Alan Duarte has lost ten close family members to gun violence and was inspired to build the project in order to create a better future for his son and his community.
OUR MISSION
So, since 2014, Abraço Campeão has been inspiring children and young people through martial arts, integrated with education and personal development, so that they become protagonists of their history and authors of their own future.

QUEM SOMOS?
O Abraço Campeão é uma ONG sediada em uma enorme comunidade de favelas no Rio de Janeiro. É uma das áreas mais afetadas por conflitos armados, pela falta de serviços básicos e também falta de oportunidades. Nosso fundador, Alan Duarte, perdeu dez familiares para a violência e decidiu criar o projeto para oferecer um futuro melhor para seu filho e sua comunidade.

Desde 2014, O Abraço Campeão inspira crianças e jovens através de artes marciais integrado com educação e desenvolvimento pessoal, para que sejam protagonistas da sua história e autores do seu próprio futuro.
